Volunteer
Want to make a difference in another woman's life? Do you believe God may be calling you to help at The Truth for Women Center? Here are some ways you may get involved.
Be a Mentor
Mentorship refers to a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps a less experienced or less knowledgeable person.
Mentoring involves communication and is relationship based. Mentoring is a process for the informal transmission of knowledge, social capital, and the psychosocial support perceived by the recipient as relevant to work, career, or professional development; mentoring entails informal communication, usually face-to-face and during a sustained period of time.
Teach Life Skills or Job Skills
We are looking for trained volunteers who have a heart for helping teach women life skills that will help them in their everyday life.
We are also looking for volunteers who are trained in various job skills to offer classes to women who are trying to get back into the work force. Due to the economy, many women are in a situation where they must go back to work. We are looking for some basic job skills training in order to give the women an edge in the interview process.
Here are some examples of life skills. If you have a particular life or job skill which is not listed here, and you are willing to teach it, please contact us.

Lead a Support Group

We are looking for experienced leaders to help lead a support group for the women who come into the center. Many women coming into the center are in a crisis and are hurting. They are in need of a safe place to share their hurts and their feelings with other women who are going through the same thing.
